Welcome to Eaton Square Sixth Form, a member of the London Park Schools group, in the heart of central London

Sixth form is an exciting time. This is when students make choices that shape the direction they will take the rest of their lives. At Eaton Square we are here to inspire and motivate each and every individual, so they can fulfil their potential and open the door to a future full of opportunity.

We are different from a traditional school Sixth Form, because our Preparation for Life programme sits proudly alongside our academic programme. We are different from a Sixth Form College, because we provide structured academic and pastoral support, and our students spend much of their day within the school.

We provide academic excellence through a range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities that enable students to explore their skills and take existing talents to a new level. Thanks to our partnerships with higher education consultancies, we offer students world-class support as they identify their career choices, select universities and prepare for the next stage of their individual educational journey.

Above all, we create an environment where our students can identify their purpose and direction in life as they look toward university and beyond. As part of the Eaton Square family of schools, our Sixth Form is the natural next step for students already at Eaton Square Senior School and other learners who want to thrive academically while pursuing their personal development goals.

I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our school.

Head

How is academic progress assessed?

Outstanding teaching and learning form the core of our curriculum. Excellent results follow.

How do we deliver this?

  1. Develop a love of learning – Students choose A level subjects they have a true interest in. Our aim is to take this interest and develop it into a real passion, meeting both A level content requirements and exploring the subject in the wider world.
  2. Personalised tuition – Every subject offers a high level of contact time through small classes with focused individual attention. With valued added GCSE results across the board, we are confident we bring out the best in our students.
  3. Study and exam preparation skills – These are essential for success at A level and our students have regular timetabled sessions to support their learning.
  4. A levels and more – We offer the EPQ, Maths in Context Qualification and are open to offering other courses by demand.
  5. Regular progress reports – Students meet regularly with their mentor to discuss their progress and we work with families to provide the best support for each individual.

What is the EPQ?

All students take a short study skills programme leading to the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). The EPQ allows students to produce a piece of work on any subject—a personal interest, or something from their studies—while developing their skills in research, presentation, public speaking, writing, communication and independent study. Students have weekly sessions with a supervisor and develop their independent study skills. The EPQ is certificated and well regarded by universities: the ideal preparation.

Is there a uniform?

Sixth Form is a stepping stone between school and university, Our students dress for business and treat their studies in the same way as they would treat their future working environment – with pride and professionalism.
