Last Month on Saturday 13th December Davide in Year 6 added another victory to the ever growing reputation of Eaton Square Fencing when he won the Gold Medal at the AYC Championships in the U10 Boys category. Three other Bronze medals were won to bring the total tally of medals for Eaton Square Fencing Club to four medals. Alexander (Sasha) in Year 5 won a bronze medal in the U10 Boys category & Logan, Year 8, won two Bronze medals in the U12 Boys Category & the U14 Boys Category. With more children joining The Academy Advanced and Premier programmes there will be more good news to follow.
Rocco, Year 5, (pictured, left) has also been excelling, finishing 34th (out of 110 boys) in the UK National League / Junior Series, despite only competing in the last three competitions. He also finished 15th in the LPJS London Foil in January 2015 (only being knocked out by the eventual winner of the competition (pictured, right)). Both of these results came when competing in the U11 category despite being only 9 years old. In late December Rocco was invited by the Maestro of Battersea Fencing Club to participate in an informal schools competition consisting of pupils from various London Prep Schools. Rocco finished runner up, another excellent result. Rocco continues work hard on his Fencing, which will include a spell training with the Olympic Gold Medal winning Italian Women’s Foil Team over the summer.
We wish all our fencers continued success.
