World Bee Day

Eaton Square Prep School was truly ‘buzzing’ last week – quite the ‘hive’ of excitement and activity!

Why? We were celebrating World Bee Day. Pupils across the School came in dressed in black and yellow to honour the occasion. As a keenly eco-committed School, the day was yet another example of our year-round drive to support the environment in which we live. They may be small, but bees and other pollinators are fundamental to the survival of our planet’s ecosystem. Almost 90% of the world’s wild flowering plant species depend on animal pollination!

It’s no wonder that the United Nations have granted bees their own special day. As a School, we were delighted to participate in this global campaign. Our pupil-led Eco Committee also presented a fantastic assembly all about bees.
